Want to put your InDesign document online so your customers can fill them themselves? One of the powerful components used by the FLO Suite is Adobe InDesign Server. This component allows you to use InDesign templates in an online context. End users are able to use the power of InDesign, without needing knowledge or the InDesign license. And everything they are allowed to do, is limited by the InDesign templates you create, and your rules.InDesign templates can be used to create graphical output in the FLO Suite. A single record in the database (for example a product) can be inserted in a variety of templates. So you need to maintain the data only once, to produce many types of output. A poster, a shelve card, a flyer, … All are create with a minimum of fuss. The InDesign Server will do all of the work. End users are typically allowed to see the result of their data entry almost immediately. This way, data entry is much more effective, since the user can correct his mistakes (or maybe even change the structure of his input) based on a visual result. All necessary exceptions (such as copy-fitting) are configured into the InDesign templates. And while it is automated database publishing, we try to end up with as little limitations as possible. InDesign Server in combination with the FLO Suite allows you to use the standard InDesign features such as hyphenation, character styles, language dictionaries. But on top of that, we provide means for some more configuration for the InDesign templates. Copyfitting of texts and images based on content, conditional content, or even simple things like the diagonal strikethrough of an old price.
