There are lots of ways to customize the way the FLO Suite is presented to end users. This document gives you a first glance at some of them.
Q:Is C# development possible in FLO? [top]
A:While there is technically no reason why it shouldn't, we have focused all of our efforts on VB.NET. A lot of the administrators of the DMP FLO Suite have no programming knowledge, but still they routinely take our scripts and change them in small ways. VB.NET is much more forgiving in it's syntax, so it's much more suited for this type of use.
Q:What components are used by FLO? [top]
A:The DMP FLO Suite is an ASP.NET web application, with a MS SQL database behind it. External components include Adobe InDesign Server and eRez Imaging Server.
Q:What are the server requirements for the DMP FLO Suite? [top]
A:The DMP FLO Suite runs on a dedicated Windows Server. It's a graphical environment, with lots of images and documents stored, so sufficient disk space should be reserved.
In general a "fast" Windows Server with 2-4 Gb of RAM will be more then adequate.

Q:How and where is the DMP FLO Suite hosted? [top]
A:The DMP FLO Suite requires a dedicated server. Some customers host this server in their own network, others host it with a service provider. The choice typically depends on the available speed of the internet connection and the use of the software. If large volumes of data are processed for internal production, hosting internally is preferable. If large amounts of end users log in to the system, an external server may be better.
