Yes, I'm sorry, it's one of those. I'm going to talk about frietjes (french fries), and I really won't be saying all that much. As you may know, I'm going for top Google ranking on the frietjes-keyword. And my tactics won't be explained in this particular post. So please, get back to work and let me ramble on. Or even better: use the time you would have spent on reading this blog on telling a friend how good our software is.
Frietjes abroad
Good. Now that I've (hopefully) lost most of my public, I'll step on less toes when I say: no good frietjes outside of Belgium. Really, you think you can just cut up a potato and deepfry it, and call that frietjes? Shame on you. The only thing outside of Belgium that resembles french fries can be found at McDonalds. But that's french fries. It doesn't count as frietjes.
No more frietjes on friday
As you may know, friday is frietjes-day at DMP. But with all of the traveling I'm doing lately, I'm really not getting enough of it. Two weeks ago it was czechia, last week was London, this week is Gent Workgroup meeting, after that it's Italy and the US. Sure I like traveling, but really, there are imits! Actually, now that I look at my schedule, I notice that most of those weeks my mondays are free. What's up with that? Should I suspect foul play? A lot of my meetings are planned by the same persons. Are they trying to get me clean from frietjes? Are they calling me fat? Sure, the holidays haven't been nice to me, but still...
The frietjes-plan for next week
I hope I find the time, but I plan on writing to some high-ranking websites on frietjes next week, and see if I can't get some relevant back-links. Surely they must realize that the international context of the DMP website is good for the promotion of Belgian frietjes, so I'm sure I'll be able to convince some of them. If not, I'll have to deploy some other tricks. Honestly, untill now I've mostly just been using just classical keyword density and internal links. But I think that should be enough for a low-profile keyword like frietjes. While belgian chefs are really good at making the best french fries possible (don't want to use the word again, let's not overdo it), I don't imagine them sitting behind the computer on a saturday fighting for a better google ranking.
