Custom filesharing applications with DMP FLO Suite

Our customers buy DMP FLO Suite to do business. And we try to help them with this by continuously adding value to the software they purchased. The latest effort in this regard is the development of a filesharing application.

Concept

We built a simple front end where end users can upload (and/or manage) files. You might compare it with a simple FTP client, though it is completely browser-based.

End users get an account which grants them certain privileges in the user interface. A very simple user may have a single directory in which he can only add new files (with corresponding email notifications). A more advanced user may also be allowed to delete old files, or even add a directory structure.

Uploaded files are stored in a directory structure, and are cleaned up after a number of days (if specified in the user's account). A user may also get a limit on the amount of space he can store.

Administration

Administration for this simple application (after the initial installation) is also done completely in the front site. Account managers can create new users, manage their accounts, and so on.

Availability

The filesharing application can be found in the Document Center, or installed on your servers through Settings>ClientCopy>Paste From Web.
